First post of today

Diabolik here with his first opportunity to breathe in nearly 3 weeks. I had previously posted a rant of sorts regarding a bunch of shows that I had recently watched and I am back with a few more.

30 Rock - I ended up finding this show because of an article comparing Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip to 30 Rock. The article had stated that 30 Rock and Studio 60 both covered the same genre but 30 Rock did it better. I like 30 Rock, I love the character Alec Baldwin plays, but I think Studio 60 was a much better written show and it wasn't intended to be a comedy, but be a comedic drama about a the cast of a sketch comedy show. 30 Rock is a comedy about the cast of a sketch comedy show. I prefer Aaron Sorkin's writing style on Studio 60 to 30 Rock's odd quirky character writings. I have yet to see any of the 3rd Season of 30 Rock but I do look forward to watching it. If you watch the season in a large clump I think you appreciate the characters a little more than if you are to wait to watch them on a weekly basis.

My Own Worst Enemy - I have been chomping at the bit to watch this show since I heard about it. I love Christian Slater as an actor and I own just about everything that he has performed in. Hell I have a DVD copy of Gleaming the Cube in my portable DVD player right now. This show was a little clunky to get off the ground, but I think it was executed very well and I look forward to this week's episode. People should definitely check it out if they liked Alias or other spy-like shows.

Life - I had watched most of teh first season of Life on NBC's streaming website and I was hoping that it would be brought back for another season. I just finished watching the first 3 episodes of the 2nd Season and it did not disappoint. Charlie Cruise's quirky demeanor and quest to uncover the conspiracy against him keep me wanting to see the next episode.

Grey's Anatomy - I was watching the 2 hour special season premiere of this show last weekend with my girlfriend. She had not seen a single episode of the show and I have seen every episode of the show but she still got into it from the start without needing to ask a bunch of questions about what was going on. I think that is a good testament to the start of a season, if you can get someone to enjoy watching the show even if they never watched a single episode before. Unfortunately we did not get to finish the episode and I have it saved so that we can finish it and watch the next 2 episodes the next time we have time together.

Venture Bros - I can't remember if I talked about this show on my other post, and i am too lazy to go and look to see, so I will talk about it here anyway. UI had seen 1 Episode with Keith, and it happened to be the episode that starts in the middle of a story like it is continuation of another episode, and I was really thrown off. But now having watched all of Seasons 1 & 2 and the start of 3 all I can say is "The creators of this show are either geniuses or complete and total morons. I can't decide on which..."

That is all of the TV stuff that I have to talk about today. More stuff to come later....
