Yeah, more boring testing from me to try to get things figured out to make my ability to deliver the random thinkings of myself to you.

MONSTERPOCALYPSE!!!!

I love this game! Monsterpocalypse is a collectible miniatures game from Privateer Press where you get to control giant Monsters and a small army to back them up in either destroying the city or saving it by destroying it.

It came out on October 10 and TOGIT has sold through 5 times more than it's initial order. Every 2 days Frank has to head back to our distributor to get more.

It is a game where you move dice between different pools to do different things. From spawn units to attacking to throwing your opponent's monster through a building. It is a strategy game to a point but the dice can make or break it. One of the best parts of it is that there are different tyes of dice you can earn. White dice have the chance to hit on three sides and three sides are blank; blue dice have 4 sides that you can hit with and 2 blanks sides; and red dice have only 1 blank side on them. You can earn Red dice by destroying building and killing enemies (and other ways), and you get blue dice in some attacks because your figure gets a bonus.

I have seen someone get into position to kill off a monster only to have most of his dice roll blank and his opponent picks up his monster and body slams him into a nuclear power plant, causing a the building to be destroyed and the enemy monster take a serious hit of radiation poisoning.

Check out the game at www.monsterpocalypse.com and I know that I am organizing tournaments at The Only Game In Town (www.togit.com) for Thursday October 23, November 8th and November 22nd. If anyone is in the area come down and check it out.

Upcoming Bacon Ice Cream Coverage

Diabolik here to update anyone who cares, and even those of you who don't, about what Bacon Ice Cream has planned over the next few months.

Rich and I are going to be heading to the Big Apple Con in New Y0rk City on November 14 to do some interviewing and talking to some of the guests. I am looking forward to this because some of my favorite comic artists are going to be there and i would love to talk to them on camera and get a sketch or two done for my potential tattoo portfolio.

The following weekend the entire Bacon Ice Cream crew is going to be hitting the VGXPO in Philly. I know we are planning on being there on the 21st and 23rd, we are working out the details for the 22nd.

We are also looking forward to attending Dreamation once again on February 19 through February 22 of 2009, and I have been invited to the Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire IV on February 20 through the 22nd. I know I am going to try to split my time between the two.

Once we get done with those conventions we wil be posting our recaps in our own blogs and the video and interviews we do on Perfect Score. If you are reading this through BaconIceCream.com you can get there through the "Convention Coverage" link on the right and if you are reading this natively on Blogger you can get there by visiting www.perfectscorepodcast.com

Expect more on these shows as we get closer and are gearing up for them.

First post of today

Diabolik here with his first opportunity to breathe in nearly 3 weeks. I had previously posted a rant of sorts regarding a bunch of shows that I had recently watched and I am back with a few more.

30 Rock - I ended up finding this show because of an article comparing Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip to 30 Rock. The article had stated that 30 Rock and Studio 60 both covered the same genre but 30 Rock did it better. I like 30 Rock, I love the character Alec Baldwin plays, but I think Studio 60 was a much better written show and it wasn't intended to be a comedy, but be a comedic drama about a the cast of a sketch comedy show. 30 Rock is a comedy about the cast of a sketch comedy show. I prefer Aaron Sorkin's writing style on Studio 60 to 30 Rock's odd quirky character writings. I have yet to see any of the 3rd Season of 30 Rock but I do look forward to watching it. If you watch the season in a large clump I think you appreciate the characters a little more than if you are to wait to watch them on a weekly basis.

My Own Worst Enemy - I have been chomping at the bit to watch this show since I heard about it. I love Christian Slater as an actor and I own just about everything that he has performed in. Hell I have a DVD copy of Gleaming the Cube in my portable DVD player right now. This show was a little clunky to get off the ground, but I think it was executed very well and I look forward to this week's episode. People should definitely check it out if they liked Alias or other spy-like shows.

Life - I had watched most of teh first season of Life on NBC's streaming website and I was hoping that it would be brought back for another season. I just finished watching the first 3 episodes of the 2nd Season and it did not disappoint. Charlie Cruise's quirky demeanor and quest to uncover the conspiracy against him keep me wanting to see the next episode.

Grey's Anatomy - I was watching the 2 hour special season premiere of this show last weekend with my girlfriend. She had not seen a single episode of the show and I have seen every episode of the show but she still got into it from the start without needing to ask a bunch of questions about what was going on. I think that is a good testament to the start of a season, if you can get someone to enjoy watching the show even if they never watched a single episode before. Unfortunately we did not get to finish the episode and I have it saved so that we can finish it and watch the next 2 episodes the next time we have time together.

Venture Bros - I can't remember if I talked about this show on my other post, and i am too lazy to go and look to see, so I will talk about it here anyway. UI had seen 1 Episode with Keith, and it happened to be the episode that starts in the middle of a story like it is continuation of another episode, and I was really thrown off. But now having watched all of Seasons 1 & 2 and the start of 3 all I can say is "The creators of this show are either geniuses or complete and total morons. I can't decide on which..."

That is all of the TV stuff that I have to talk about today. More stuff to come later....
